COACHES
Ijeoma Monoru
Ijeoma (IJ) is from Fort Worth, TX and attended R.L. Paschal High School. She competed at TAV during the club season eventually earning a position at Abilene Christian University. IJ was a 4 year starter at ACU. In her senior season she led the program to the second round of the Regional Tournament, the furthest the program had ever been. Throughout her time playing, IJ was coaching with Abilene Aces and then moved on to Assistant Coaching at ACU upon completion of her undergraduate degree. After coaching with ACU for 3 years IJ has continued her playing career overseas in Denmark and Sweden and is currently home for the off season. She is passionate about coaching and playing volleyball and is excited to share that passion with AMO campers.
Lauren Purdy
Lauren is from Arlington, TX and attended Martin High School. She competed at North Dallas Juniors under former UTA head-coach Diane Seymour before starting her collegiate career at West Texas A&M. She was selected as All-Conference and All-Tournament in the Elite-Eight in 2009 before transferring to Park University where she earned All-American honors (2012 & 2013), was selected as a Daktronics Scholar Athlete and Capital One Academic All-American. Lauren coached for Amarillo Juniors and Southwind Rising (KS) throughout her collegiate career and is now back in the metroplex coaching volleyball and teaming up with AMO!
Nicole Hragyil
Nicole is from Carrollton, Texas and attended Hebron High School. She helped lead the Hawks to their first appearance in the regional tournament as a 5A high school. Nicole’s love for the game led her to Texas Tech University where she played the following four and a half years. During her time in Lubbock, she coached for Guns Up Volleyball Club from 2011 to 2015 before graduating. She is currently training to become a professional beach volleyball player and is excited to be back in the gym sharing her enthusiasm for the game with young athletes.
